Rear shock choice and advice.

Morning people. Need a bit of advice on which shock to use on a 140mm travel frame. Where do these sit in a line from best to worst? Any experience or points of note. I ride mainly XC. We have a Fox float DPS (age unknown) an Fox DHX 4.0 (age unk) a Fox RP2 (8 years old) and an Rockshox Monarch RT Debonair (3 days old), to choose from.

    Do they all have the same eye to eye measurement and travel as the original shock? This is important, or you may damage your bike, possibly permanently.

    If so, try them all, but I'd leave the Fox DHX until last (the one in the middle of the top pic I believe).

    But the banker has to be the Rockshox Monarch RT Debonair. That will give you the least problems and is the most known quantity.
