Shimano SPD-SL Pedals - Which version?

I bought Shimano cleats to use on indoor bikes at local club, I now want to add clipless pedals to my road bike but unsure which version to go for R550, R7000 or R8000.

I’ve read reviews online but a lot are old reviews and it seems some of the pedals have been updated since the reviews.

    Depending on your budget the R550 are a good place to start. Think they have been updated pretty recently as well so the older version will be cheaper & even the most up to date version should only be around £40.

    If you want something slightly better / lighter the 105's have been fine for me, only reason I would go past them would be weight saving & again for the same reason from Ultegra to Dura Ace.
