Hi,
on my second hand specialized allez, the rear wheel has a bit of a wobble. I've managed to true it a little, but there is one spoke which refuses to turn, I suspect the bottom bit is a bit knackered. See photo below.
Can a single spoke be replaced or any tips to unknacker it?
thanks!
Phil

You can replace a single spoke - I have on Aksiums.
You will probably find the nipple and spoke have corroded together so you can try positioning the spoke at the bottom of the wheel and dripping some thin oil on it.
Leave it a few hours and it might turn.
You have to grip the spoke firmly near the nipple otherwise it will rotate.
If you find that you are actually twisting the spoke rather than turning the nipple then you have no chance.
Aksium spokes are available but are expensive.0 -
I disassembled my Aksiums when the rims wore out. Several of the nipples had seized and they had nylon locks in them to make them tighter. WD40 and a piece of wood with a slot in helped undo them, make sure your spoke key is a good fit because they will be tight!
Stripped them down then eBayed the hubs and spokes.0
