Thin short thickness knee warmers

Afternoon all,
I have a few pairs of knee warmers, as I feel the cold, but 3 of the 4 pairs I own are pretty thick, autumn or winter thickness, and only one pair are a thickness similar to that of a normal pair of shorts.
These tend to get the most use, as they keep the cold at bay, but are not too thick, so can stay on forthe duration of the ride.
For example, on Saturday, I left the house at around 09:15 for a 50 miler, had on a mesh base layer, ss jersey, light giley, plus thin arm warmers, bib shorts, and these thin knee warmers - aside from having to open my gilet on the climbs, I was the perfect temperature for the full 160 minutes.
However, they (Gore bikewear universal knee warmers) are fairly old, and sadly the elastic, or whatever you call it, in the bands is now starting to come out, so I fear their days may be numbered.
Does anyone know of any summerweight knee warmers please?
Yellow is the number one option, like my Gore offerings, black as a second choice.
Arm warmers of a similar ilk seem to be as popular as thicker ones.

I need some replacements for my Assos S7's, they seem much lighter weight than others and definitely not that Roubaix thickness of some.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

Roubaix, that's the word I was looking for, the vast majority seem to have that slightly thicker fabric on the inside, yet arm warmers seem 50/50 whether they are thick or thin.
I notice La Passione make some that may be along the lines I am after, will see if I can find the assos offering you mention.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

These are my favourite. Not super light but not winter weight either.

Thanks Mr B - will take a look at those ones, quite a fan of Giro products in general.
Some more searching last night turned these candidates up:

These look to be the best value probably - and if you fit in a larger size, they can be had for less cash here:

Assos EVO 7's here in larger sizes too:

Try also some Craft 3D knee warmers. I think they would do the trick nicely. I got somewhere really cheaply a little while back - will see if I can jog my memory and find out where I got them from.
Edit they were from here and they've sold out, but you might find them elsewhere:

For me these are the knee warmers I use when it's just that tiny bit too chilly to go full knees out. Thin material, shortish and grip well.

Thanks for all the replies chaps :-)
I REALLY like those LL, Yellow too!lakesluddite said:For me these are the knee warmers I use when it's just that tiny bit too chilly to go full knees out. Thin material, shortish and grip well.

Are they shaped at all to mimic the bend of the leg?
What a pita that Evans have gone to the dogs and no longer stock them :-(
I may just order them direct though and stomach the delivery cost - how did you find the sizing? I'm usually small in most items, but with the non essential journeys aspect ringing in my ears, it will be difficult to return in the near future.
Booo, even though they have an EU site, it appears they still ship from Canada, which means admin and import duties.

Sorry Daniel, I got mine a couple of years ago, so I'm not really sure how you'd get them now. I can't even see any from UK Ebay sellers after a quick check!daniel_b said:Thanks for all the replies chaps :-)

No worries matey, I have messaged them to see what the score is.
I do have a cousin in Canada, so not sure if having her order it, and then send over to me might save some money, presumably not eveything attracts import duty.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

So with LG, due to Evans going to the dogs, there is no way to buy it in the UK and avoid the import/admin costs.
I advised them to look to the likes or Merlin or Sigma if they want a new distributor!
Randomly, on a Scott FB page I am on, a chap posted up about a make called Trimtex whom I had never heard of - appears they are based out of Latvia.
Best bit is (for me) they had knee warmers in the sale, at less than 12 euros a pair, AND in glorious yellow!
https://trimtex.eu/en/products/outlet/outlet-bike/giro-knee-warmers/250558416-08.html
They appear to have the silicon bits that make my Gores so planted, so hopefully they will live up to my expectations - postage was 9 euros, but added a couple of other bits on, so was happy to absorb the cost.
I will report back in due course :-)Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

I like these https://www.wiggle.co.uk/ale-seamless-knee-warmers/?sku=101841548,
very stretchy. A sort of knitted material. I only have short legs so they are knee / leg warmers for me.0 -
Oh and just to add, I contacted Cycology, who make cycling kit, and amazing t-shirts and ls shirts (Of which I own about 50!) and asked if they can make some thin knee warmers. The very nice lady replied immediately, and has been onto head office, who have authorised it, and she has already started work on it
Only possible downside is that they are going to make a 'one size fits all' so can only imagine it will fit the masses, but not people at either end of the scale, although I pushed the case for silicone grippers to be added, which may make it viable for the thinner end of the scale.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)
