hi,
I had a boardman sport entry level road bike https://road.cc/content/review/87462-boardman-road-sport used it a few times did a few duathlons on it only did about 5-600 mile on it.
So i decided if i could get a cheap carbon frame or bike i will upgrade it so went into see Paul Curran and asked if my boardman would fit a carbon frame so anyways we decided on getting one of these https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FTPXPCRFF/planet-x-pro-carbon-road-frameset
Everything swapped over (about 2 yr ago now) but now i am taking a lot more interest in the road side of things and use it for at least one long ride week. (use other bikes other days)
question is what real upgrades would be required as i think its a decent frame on a boardman bike as no other upgrades have been added other than a new standard front wheel
cheers

If the bike is running ok as it is, then technically you don't need any 'upgrades' at all.1

Tyres and wheels maybe ? They're the things that make most difference.
As imposter says - if it's working you won't really notice any improvements from other components.
Personally I think new sunglasses are one of the most important things to get. 😎1
