Searching for a strong rear rack/seat

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a full suspension bike. Does anyone know of any rear racks that would fit on a full suspension bike and support the weight of a person (around 60kg)

Thanks

You want to put a 60kg person on a pannier rack?

I can't imagine that such a thing exists, especially one for a fs bike.

from looking around for bikes last year, there are typically 3 weight limits that companies target for rider + luggage.
    100KG
    125KG
    135KG

With the typical riders being ~75kg, by adding the 60kg second person you're hitting the 135kg limit before you add the rack/seat - I'd have a real concern about proposal.

    Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...
  • Thanks, I guess I'll scrap that idea

I'd be a lot more concerned about the rack failing (or snalling whatever it's bolted to) than the overall bike loading limit being reached.
Carrying a 60kg person is likely going to require a tandem or a cargo bike.

That would be a no then - cargo bike where the 'rack' is an integral part of the frame tubing would do, something along the lines of a Kona Ute \ Minute.
