Hi all - I’m looking to buy a new road bike under £3k. Want to know what the best ones available to me? I’ve had specialised and cannondale so want to buy outside of these brands.
Any tips on the group set I should be looking to buy would also be great?
Ideally looking for a speedy bike which is relatively comfy.
Thanks

Bit difficult to advise without knowing more.
Are you after an endurance type bike or more of an aero bike? Do your rides involve a lot of hills or do you just ride on the flat? Do you know what geometry works for you?
For 3k you're looking at Ultegra and you may be able to get Di2 if that's something you'd want.0 -
I would say more aero based but still want to do fairly comfy.
More flats than hills as live in London.0 -

Something a bit different - Orro Venturi. British brand. Sell the stock wheels and tyres and put some nice carbon wheels on and some better tyres. You won't see too many of these around I would imagine.0 -

This looks like a good price if you happen to fit a 54, plenty of money left for nice wheels and tyres to complete the package:

Seems a lot of money for a 105 spec bike. This pinarello Frameset is outrageous value. https://www.wheelbase.co.uk/product/brands/pinarello/gan/pinarello-gan-k-disc-road-frameset-2019/
You could get this, buy an ultegra disc groupset and then put some 50mm prime carbon wheels on and have change out of £2500. Add an extra 500 for DI2. If you aren’t confident building yourself majority of bike shops will do this for a fee. Circa £100.
Can’t see a better value option out there at the moment.0 -

New boutique shop around here is a dealer for this brand. Have seen some niche sponsored riders on them but seems otherwise mostly unheard of. Pretty incredible spec for a pound shy of £3k: https://www.moriartybikes.com/product-page/flux-rsCustom Albannach Torragar [BUILD IN PROGRESS]

I’m looking at aroundd the £3k price mark. I’m looking at sportive models and where I live it’s hills more than flat. Here’s the biggy I’m 5 foot 6 but a short inside leg so with the seat height being quite low could I get away with a more race orintated geometry0

OP, the best buy will never be a 2020 bike. Look for something old stock like a 2018 or 19 model and you'll get much more. Even better, something second hand but barely used for £3k, then you'll be finding something that was more like £5k new. You'll then find some fantastic bikes that will make a £3k new bike seem mediocre where perhaps the frameset alone would have been up to about £3k. You could quite possibly find yourself riding a dream bike then. I wouldn't buy a new 2020 bike for £3k, no way, not when I could get so much more for the money.0
