I was trying to avoid that one, it’s a f’ing bread roll. The word doesn’t even tell you what type of bread roll.
Indeed, but a bread roll filled with porchetta from a street stall with a long queue of chattering Italians is thing of beauty.0 -
Though in the interest of fairness, I'd be just as happy with a pork batch with apple sauce from a good hog roast stall here. Just the queue isn't usually so stylish.0

Both are things of joy, unlike the misuse of language :-)

Just relised they are those horrible little hard biscuit things that they always have loads of in Cafe Nerro because nobody every buys them (or used to).veronese68 said:
Italian pedant mode on, cantuccini are small cantucci. Cantucci could equally be what SG means, but without seeing the size of them I can't say with any certainty. Don't get me started on "can I have a biscotti" or even worse "can I get a biscotti".

Gotta refinery up there in yer shed? Or do you have a use for hydrocarbon sludge? Mebbe ye'd sell it to yon locals as bevvy? Though I suppose if you had space for a million barrels, they would pay you 5 million to take it, then if the price rises back up to usd 50 per barrel, you just sell it. Let's ask wheelspinner if he's close to a port, and fancies storing a million barrels of crude.pinno said:If only my shed was bigger, I could get some crude oil and they would pay me to take it!

Thanks for that. I'm sure farmer boy will let me use his field.
Funny; he's a 20 year old Dutch boy. He bought the farm for £2.4m. His dad is in the oil business.
(Perhaps now, he'll give the farm to me for £24).
I'll give him his due - he works hard, he's amenable and it's made quite a difference given shared perimeters etc.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0
