Cycliq Fly12 CE Universal Adapter

I've just pulled the pin on the Cycliq Fly12 CE camera/light which comes with an adapter to allow it to fit on a GoPro mount. However I predict problems ahead. The adapter is made from a very brittle plastic which I am not convinced is up to the job required of it.I fear breakage.
What I seek is a contact with someone who has solved this potential problem, say by getting one 3D printed in nylon perhaps.

    i've seen a aluminum machined piece somewhere.. let me see if i can find the link.
    Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
