Fitting a carbon seatpost to an alloy frame. What torque settings? The setting paste will be used.

    like goat said, start with 4nm see if that works, nudge up slightly until it does.

    ensure the surfaces that do the clamping are spotlessly clean and grease free before applying assembly paste. depending on clamp design 5 nm should be more than enough. (some of the wedge clamp designs need a little more)

    I'm a fat b*st*rd and mine was sipping even at max torque on my Synapse. Carbon paste allowed me to fix it without slippage at 5nm.
    You can fool some of the people all of the time. Concentrate on those people.
