Cheap trainer for thru axle?

Looking around for a cheap trainer but realized most are only compatible out-of-the-box for quick release where as y bike has 12mm thru axle.
So a basic £150 trainer from Cycleopes needs a £50 adapter!? 33% of the trainer price!
What are my options on a budget?
