Garmin 800 - Wrong Date?

I have just used my Garmin 800 for the first time since October 2019. It was about 50% charged, so I fully charged it before going out with it.

On uploading to Strava via my laptop, the date for today's ride is shown as 7th October 2019.

I uploaded it to Garmin Connect and it had the same issue, except that I could edit the date in Garmin Connect.

Any idea how I can fix this?

    I think the only way to change it is by contacting Strava direct. But...a word of warning. I had a similar,but not identical, problem and because the original recording wasn't made on an iphone they washed their hands of it. They didn't want to get involved when I mentioned Garmin. Took a long time to get nowhere, maybe 2 months.

    I still have one ride on my profile that is recorded as suspect.

    Copy the fit file for the activity from the Garmin to your computer. Use https://fitfiletools.com/#/top to fix the date in the file. Delete the ride in Strava and upload the corrected fit file to Strava.

    When this has happened to me it was because I had unwittingly started the Garmin a number of weeks previously. So the start time was back then but the movement time was correct. On Strava the date and time of the actual segments should be correct if you made the same mistake as me
