So how many club runs have you seen today?

I've just done a quick 40miler. I saw 5 separate club runs. Minimum 8 riders, and one group of 20+ stood waiting for others to join them. Where does this social distancing fit in? Milennials and grey beards with their inflated sense of self esteem and entitlement. Idiots like that will get cycling banned for us all.
Of course they won't catch this virus; they are far too important for that. And once we are banned from the roads they will all be swamping twitbook with details their PB rides on Zwift or Peleton or whatever the must have indoor trainer of choice is. Some folk just don't seem to want any disruption from their normal Sunday activities. Idiots.

All our club's activities have been suspended. Was out yesterday and there were small groups (4 or less) out but no large groups.
Where are you based Frank?0 -
NW coast. North of Liverpool. I was quite stunned by the blase attitude. The big group even waved me across to join them! I was on the other side of the road and just carried on.0

Really mate? Really? Sure you don't wanna add some other unrelated groups in there?
Btw my club and others in the area stopped all club rides last week0 -
Not been out but my main concern has been the attitude of young people - end of A level parties, still socialising with mates etc. On the training group chat I'm on it's more the young elite/first/second cats who have been arranging to meet up.
There seems to be more concern amongst the middle aged perhaps because our parents are often elderly and perhaps because we are more used to taking responsibility for others.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
A few solo cyclist and zero groups.
That said, I know of 3 elderlies who went out together. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
No clubs out today here in the South East but plenty of groups of friends out together.0

Social distancing. But they were from Bolton so no great loss there.

I went out for a walk on ranmore common this morning, most cyclists seemed to be in groups of 2 or 3 and keeping their distance but a couple of notable exceptions big groups 2 abreast and right on each others wheels.0

We suspended all club group activities earlier this week, as seemingly have most clubs. In 5+ hours riding outside this w/end the largest 'group' I've seen was 3 people.0

The vClub in Lincoln cancelled its club runs, although I was out early , (on my own ) I did not see any groups of riders, probably 6 to 8 riders riding alone0

Saw two largish groups 6/8 riders between York and Selby, plenty of pairs and solosAll lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....0
