Santini - sizing

So, I've put some timber on over the last 12 months .....there....said it. Didn't ride that much but drank more alcohol.
I'm now circa 88 Kilos, 40 inch chest (sorry for the metric/imperial mash up).
Just want to find what kind of jersey sizing I'm looking at (race fit) for Santini these days? It's all a bit confusing. I've usually worn a size xl in Sportful when I was previously circa 78- 80 kilos. I wore a L in Giro Chrono last summer, but they're American so more 'real world' in sizing I figure and not Italian racing whippet size.
Advice welcome, thanks.

I haven't bought any Santini for a while, but Prendas sell it and their size guides are based on actual measurements, might be helpful.

Santini fit is definitely on the Italian side- so 1 (possibly 2) sizes above casual clothing. The sizing is based on cut- E1 being "race cut" , E2 looser fit and E3 a relaxed cut.0

I'd go same size as Sportful. That has always worked for me.
The retro Santini stuff linked to above may well be a looser fit than the modern designs.0 -
Have you considered looking at the size charts on the Santini website and measuring yourself? It really is the best way to see what size of garment will fit you.johnnyfartpants said:

Bought a Santini jacket recently, I'm a 43in chest, XXL is comfy. The Prendas sizing is accurate0
