It’s been a rough year. I’m ‘down’ to 2 bikes. The Giant Contend sl and the Boardman 8.9c. All good but need a best bike. I’m doing a 400 and 600k audax in may. I can’t do racey anymore.
I’ve narrowed it down to.....
Domane SL6 disc. Ultegra. I know I know it’s a trek but the whole thing appeals to me.
Or the Canyon endurace sl 8.0 disc. It’s lighter and cheaper.
Heart, oddly, says Trek. But I could even bump the canyon up to di2 less than the trek....

Missed you ditching the Giant Propel Disc variant, guessing from comment it was too racey.================

Have you seen those Synapse Dura Ace, £2.5k at Wheelbase? Possibly a 7.5kg bike with some better wheels on.0

Synapse possibly on the list. I had to ditch the giant tcr as too stiff. Defy could be an option i guess. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Forget carbon. Get a condor fratello. You'll be able to use it as a tourer when your cycling taste mature further."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

That Synapse is monster value.

Done long rides like this on my carbon bikes and its o.k but it more enjoyable on a skinny tubed steel bike with steel forks with bend on the legs. Rack mounts for panniers ( so my easier to use that frame bags) and proper mudguard mounts are nice too and missing from modern bikes like the ones discussed.
You could get a frame builder to make a lovely steel bike or buy an off the self one fit ultegra r8070. O.k that's what I like but point is I cant imagine riding a modern trek for 600km so I'm literally of no help. Is it the flatlands your doing?www.thecycleclinic.co.uk0 -

If you are considering Canyon you are obviously not a Hambini follower:

Don't think he has looked at Trek so these may be the same.
