New turbo time (but off eBay)

Currently own a Tacx cheap smart trainer, can’t remember the model but it’s the one Halfords we’re selling a few years ago for £159 or so. Wheel on, very slow to react, noisy.

So looking on eBay for a direct drive model and the following choices seem to be available:

Elite zumo (new) for about £350
Tacx flux (used) between £400-450
Various wheel-on trainers for up to £300
Elite drivo (used) for up to about £400

Which would be a better option? Really don’t want to spend more than £450 so used Neos are just out of reach.

Thanks in advance.

I've been considering buying a Zumo from Ebay as well. Seems like a decent trainer for the money.
You can fool some of the people all of the time. Concentrate on those people.

If you can find a Neo1, get it. Avoid first gen Direto like the plague. The Drivo is very good and my recommendation from your list, but you need to appreciate that for Elite support, their first language isn't English and it's often difficult to get a response from them.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

The earlier versions are rock solid.

If you can put up with the "whine" noise they make it's a no brainer IMHO.
