Indeed. Was out in Girona riding last April and ended up in the shop watching Dwars Door with Mr Meier himself. He’s tiny.
The cafe at La Fabrica is very good and Amber has a really good way with customers. They deserve to do well.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0 -
Ride tomorrow at 10 with Christian and Simon Gerrans0

Looks handy. Like the Rapha cafe in central manchester but in a place where I actually go through on bike rides.
Showing bike races would be interesting if they do that. I sometimes go into Rapha to watch races for a bit of atmosphere. But here you could hit all of the Cheshire cobbles then stop by and watch Roubaix or Flanders on the way back...0 -
Been a few times. Coffee is good, and cheap. Poor selection of food at the moment - just pastries & cake. I expect that will change in the near future. No telly, so not likely to be showing races unless they get something in quick. Also, no WiFi - which is a ballache as 4G reception is grim in there. Don't let you bring bikes inside which is a pain, but they do provide a bike rack and cafe locks (and it's Wilmslow, so not likely to get nicked anyway). It's in a decent location for me - can go and do reps up the Wizard or Artists Lane beforehand, and better than the ponciness in Rapha (which is less than ideally situated in Central Monchestuh)
Just nees a couple of big tellies and summat other than cake to eat and I'll take root in there for the classics 😁Fat chopper. Some racing. Some testing. Some crashing.

and some Dunham Brewery produce!
can go and do reps up the Wizard or Artists Lane beforehand,
so you are not a serious cyclist then - everyone knows Swiss Hill is where the season is won or lost

LOL - I do Swiss every now and then, but I'm a road racer. Not too many cobbled climbs on the circuits I race 😂😂😂specialgueststar said:and some Dunham Brewery produce!

British Cycling have relaxed their design rules for closed road circuits and are now actively looking to add features like 'pave' sections. I'm designing a circuit at the moment and might add a section on one of the climbs. There's over 30m of climbing on each 1.1km lap too so an average hour race would have around 1000m of climbing!jct1993 said:

I left Lancaster 25 years ago, they didn't do crits back then that I'm aware of. But I saw the youtube from 2014 and it's nice to know The Golden Lion is still going. The cobbles up to Dalton square were tough enough to walk up after a few in there.jct1993 said:
