Maspalomas, Gran Canaria ... club rides ... pub/cafe hangout

hey gang ... heading down to Maspalomas, Gran Canaria in a few weeks.

Having traveled to Mallorca and Girona to ride, I manage to find and connect with group rides (not formal ride excursions with a guide and support vehicle) frequented by local and/or expats cyclists, usually on a recurring weekly day/time. Anybody aware of similar group rides in Maspalomas or nearby area?

Also, is there a pub or cafe where cyclists hangout later in the day, presumably after a ride?

Freemotion is the only place I know of, I know you said you didn't want to go out with any organised rides but you can get cheap packages I think with Hire and rides, usually mostly Germans go out but most speak perfect English.
