I'm buying a new bike, but I cannot decide what is the best option for me. Price range arond 5000€,
So generally i'm a climber (live in quite climb/flat multi location), 2times per week have club rides where we ride flat rides usually, with preety nice speeds 35-37avg. If I choose Aero i'll enjoy on those club rides, takes KOMs and get crazy speeds, long rides 200+kilomters sometimes, better looking (i love aero flat saddle and balance). On the other side i daily climb to nearest 3 hills around 1500ascent 8-15%, i will also qualify for Dolomites marathon (but i has not suucess with draw this year). SO help me.
I look something lightest/normal price
- Merida Reacto (aero)
- Colnago Concept (aero/quiteheavy)
- Canyon Ultimate CF SLX (climber)
- Scott foil (aero)
- ?
Thanks

Sounds like you want one of the latest generation of aero-optimised climbing bikes like the Cannondale Supersix, Scott Addict RC, Orbea Orca OMX, Specialized Tarmac, Wilier Zero SLR, etc.Custom Albannach Torragar [BUILD IN PROGRESS]

Yep - an 'aero-optimised' climbing bike, or maybe a 'climbing-optimised' aero bike..or something..
Or just accept that whatever you choose is not likely to make a significant difference.3 -
Thanks,
If i had enough big money pocket, i'd buy Tarmac and change wheels for every ride...
Is it kind of harder climb on hills, with aero bike weight understand, but geometry?
And also aggressive geomtry on 200kilmeters+ rides is the problem assume...0 -
200kms+?
I'd go for a lightweight comfortable bike and get my position sorted for aero.
The frame itself will make little difference without the rider being right. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

This. Especially the comment about getting an aero frame which will make him so quick he will get KoMs everywhere he goes on the flat...darkhairedlord said:OP reads like a training bot.
