Paint chips

Probably a silly question but I will ask to be sure. I have a couple of paint chips and scratches on my CX bike from crashing more than staying upright in races. Could I use a a paint chip repair pen like Halfords would sell to cover up the scrathes/chips?

Touch up paint will work better than the pen but getting the colour match is the hardest part. I resorted to nail varnish and lacquer as there was a wider choice. 😱
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Its mainly the black paint that is chipped or scratched and seeing as it was crashed 3 times in my last CX race I dont think colour matching will really matter. Its mainly to stop the chip spreading or rusting.
