Bike travel insurance

Hi All
I am looking for single trip bike insurance for a trip to Italy in April. I will be flying out of the UK and returning after 4 days. I will be doing a Granfondo but really I am mostly concerned with loss, theft or damage of my bike during the travelling there and back. I have a basic cover on my home insurance but it does not cover travel abroad. Some of the quotes I have had have been a bit pricey.
Has anyone got any suggestions or experience?

Is upgrading your current insurance not an option? The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

I use PedalCover which covers my bikes at home and abroad, and in transit against loss, crash damage, theft etc including all ancillary kit such as clothing, Garmin, lights, lock etc. It comes as part of a buildings and contents home policy with specialist cycle insurance.
