I’m just getting back into MTB since I’m moved to North Carolina and picked up a clean 2015 Scott Scale 700 frame (standard 12/142mm). I’m quickly realizing everything has moved to Boost so parts of been hard to come by. I found a set of Crossmax SL wheels on clearance but not sure what cassette to order since it’s not XD and Mavic suggests one piece construction. Does anyone have experience with this wheelset? The specs seemed like a good option based on weight and price but wondering if I can make it a 1x11 as is. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Just get a decent Shimano cassette such as XT, you'll get a small amount of 'biting' with the upper gears but manageable.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
