I don’t go in to town just through it.0

Too many. One could do with going. Even our 5yr old has two bikes, a hybrid and a race bike.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.2

I’m down to just 2 now. A trick 2017 Specialized Allez Elite and a 2019 Boardman Air 9.6 that’s not stock anymore 😎.
Earlier this year I flogged my lovely carbon finished Dolan to my brother and sold a nice Boardman mtb on Gumtree.
In my loft I’ve got a carbon Specialized frame awaiting a paint job and building and a Boardman Hybrid comp frame that also wants to be built up.1 -
Four. Hardtail MTB, winter road bike, gravel bike and best road bike. They all get used for their respective jobs - sometimes I choose which type of ride I fancy then take the right bike, sometimes I decide I want to ride a certain bike and go somewhere appropriate. I have seat bags on the MTB and gravel with tubes and levers, a bottle cage toolkit I swap across the roadies, a Wahoo mount on all of them and moveable lights for the drop-barred ones. The MTB has a dedicated light setup. They all have SPD pedals. Wheels are all dedicated to each bike as they all run a different tyre and/or brake setup, despite all being 700c/29er with QR.Cube Reaction GTC Pro 29 for the lumpy stuff
Cannondale Synapse alloy with 'guards for the winter roads
Fuji Altamira 2.7 for the summer roads
Trek 830 Mountain Track frame turned into a gravel bike - for anywhere & everywhere0 -
However I do have 4 bikes.webboo said:I don’t go in to town just through it.
Bianchi 928 carbon with a wobbly bottom bracket shell that lives on the turbo.
Bianchi aluminium thing that’s my winter bike or my gravel bike when riding round Dalby with grandson.
Orbea Orca Silver.
Focus Izalco Max.

Before I answer this question, are you my wife or an agent of hers?
The official answer is 'some'.
At the moment I've got a CX bike, a titanium road bike I use for commuting (rack and guard mounts), a carbon road bike for weekends, a TT bike for triathlons, an old hybrid converted to singlespeed that I use for going to the train station and pootling around with the kids, and I've currently got a spare aluminium road bike (was replaced as commuter by the ti) which I'm unsure what to do with.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX1 -
One. Two sets of wheels - one for speed, one for gravel and muck.0
-
I have 4 bike.
Carbon road bike, steel winter road bike, turbo bike and hardtail MTB.0 -
4 mountain bikes (hardtails, trail bikes and enduro), 1 BMX, 1 gravel bike and 1 road bike. There might be more somewhere as the garage is a bit of a mess at the moment.0

Down to only half a dozen at the moment, from a peak of 11 a few years ago. Tempted to pick up another frame or two because I have a load of spare parts not being used...Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0

Three in use at the moment
Ti road bike (summer/best bike)
Gravel bike (crap weather/winter/go anywhere bike)
Turbo/commuter bike (sometimes used for training on real roads too)
Repaired carbon frameset hanging up while I decide what to do with it
XC bike boxed up as no space, plus gavel bike covers about 90% of its duties.0 -
I prefer is one the best.0

This is forcing me to do a mental count:
- 2 x 90s MTB, one as a pub bike, other as spare
- brompton
- Genesis Equilibrium as a commuter
- Cannodale Supersix Evo HM rim brake as lightweight summer bike
- Cervelo R3 Disc as allround/allyear road bike
- Fairlight Secan Adventure Bike
- Voodoo Bizango MTB
That'll be 8 bikes. Oh dear, can't possibly justify that, but apart from the spare 90s MTB they all get regular use.
(also have a BMC GF02 endurance frame, spare components, so would that take it to 9?)0 -

Not as many as I would like, more than my wife thinks is reasonable and more than my wife thinks I have0

I have lost count. Possibly 24 built up but there are three frames waiting to be built. Oh if I buy the grass track bike of the club its 25.
I need a larger garage.www.thecycleclinic.co.uk0 -
I have one bike, and many bikes.
To answer the intended question (😉), 3. Good weather, bad weather and off road. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
5, although 1 is destined for the tip and another is on long term loan to a colleague because I wasn't using it.
Uh oh, I'll never be able to catch youtlw1 said:11.5 currently
Still need a TT bike
I have a cheap mtb which I made into a singlespeed for going to the train station/shops. All of my bike lights attach with rubber straps, so swapping them between bikes isn't that much of a faff.mprichard7 said:Thanks for replyingIve got hybrid bike at moment use it for town use as well but not happy parking it up, but then if I get another bike double up with the lights etc .
