braze on to band on

evening all
I have a felt z5 with a riveted braze on front mech.
It looks as though one of the four rivets is loose , this has been renewed a few weeks ago so it makes me think that the carbon is worn.
My question is . Can it be taken of and either a band on or a braze on adaptor https://www.evanscycles.com/m-part-front-derailleur-clamp-EV146181?wiz_medium=cpc&wiz_source=google&wiz_campaign=UK - Shopping - DT - Generic - Parts&wiz_content=UK - DT - Generic - Parts - Sub - Bike Handlebars - ()&wiz_term=* / Product type&gclid=CjwKCAiA5JnuBRA-EiwA-0ggPegt1qKV9AMTUqWRL7USjrjfLU0PYD_IjgKS9sDYbEhF7Ik1PRpdEhoCZfsQAvD_BwE
like this one put on.?

Looks like the Z5 seat tube has a taper on the section where a band-on mech would fit (which is probably why it has a braze-on fitting to start with) - so the answer is probably no.
  • Looks like I will have to go down the carbon repair route.
    thanks for the reply
