New wheels - Hunt V Hope or something else?

So I have a budget of around £350-400 for a new set of wheels for the Mega.
Currently have the Nukeproof Neutron wheelset fitted (Basically WTB i29 rims and Novatec hubs), which haven’t been too bad.
Been looking at Hunt Trail Wide and Hope Fortus 30 Pro4.
Staggered that the Hope wheelset comes out around 0.5kgs heavier than the Hunts though (2.3kg v 1.8kg).
Anything else I should be considering around that price?
Non-boost 142×12 and 100×15 hubs and ideally around 30mm internal width.

Get a pair of decent rims built on to Hope Pro4 hubs.
I paid around £400 to have Stan's Arch Mk3 rims built on to Pro4 hubs and they have been excellent. The rims are 26mm though. Flow rims are 29mm internal width.

Get kinlin rims. The tl23 or tl29 are very robust rims. Stans rims are just more expensive. They are not better.
Also kinlins are cheap and very round and flat. The tl29 in 29er size is 530g and 29mm internal width 20mm deep.
I have a set of tl29 rims on dt swiss 350 hubs.www.thecycleclinic.co.uk0 -

Thanks all.
Looked at the DT's but the hub engagement seems slow on the lower end ones.
I'm not sure I want anything heavier then I already have - so moving away from the Hopes.
Might look at a custom build with Hope hubs though._______________

You can up 36t or 56 ratchets into twin star ratchet dt wheels.
18t ratchets though are jot a big issue too much is made of this but it wont slow you down it just feels annoying.www.thecycleclinic.co.uk0 -
Bit late back to this one.
Thanks for all the replies.
I ended up with a set of Hunt Trail Wide - got the from their ex-demo/display section.
Brand new front and ex-display rear wheel - bargain at £280.
Stuck them on the scales and are bang on the claimed weight.
Great quality, and great customer service (had an issue with incorrect freehub - but that was sorted in 48 hours from initial contact to putting it on the wheel).
Came taped, valved and with spare spokes and a spoke key.
All fitted and only had light use due to the current situation._______________

Sounds good, hope are great hubs but some people just don’t get on with the noise.
My pro2 evos are great still but on a 26er rim think I might look at getting rebuilt on to a 650b rim.0
