Bontrager ion elite 1000 or Magicshine Monteer 1400??

Having ordered the Bontrager Ion Pro 1300 only to discover that it's been recalled and is unavailable I'm looking at a choice between
Ion Elite 1000 or
Magicshine 1400
this is mainly for road riding, largely in the dark on unlit roads with some fast sections and long descents; some off-road though nothing extreme.
Having trouble finding any substantial reviews on Magicshine; the Bontrager seems well backed up with plenty of reviews. I'd be grateful for any info on the above - thank you!

I have tried the alternative from Lezyne to be told "unavailable" from my LBS. I live in Switzerland and internet sales from the EU work differently (which all UK residents might discover in 2020!).
