Hi all, new here, i am planning a 280 mile / non stop 24 hour ride, therefore will be riding in the dark for appproximately 5 hours through snowdonia etc.... i will need a front light that lights up the road ahead,
can anybody recomend a good front light that is not at a silly price?

I've used a few lights that would give enough light for that kind of trip - but nothing that would provide 5 hours of output.
Something like this with the battery pack is rated to give you 600 lumens for 7 hours

This will give 6 hours at 500 lumen, or you can buy a second battery pack.

Or this is rated at 1000 lumens for 8 hours

Any exposure front light.
Super bright, brilliant battery life and the build quality is top notch.
Look at the strada sb 1500, Toro or maxx d.0 -
Not sure if you're riding solo or as part of a group ... or what support you'll have.
If you're self supported it throws a different problem than if you've got a van/car or prearranged stops where you can change lights.
Only suggestions I would have is that you have a backup light that you can ride by on the front - and ride with as little illumination as you can.0
