Odd question. Can you swap microshift hood shifters for mtb trigger shifters?

Hi all. My daughter has progressed to a Moda minor CX bike with microshift. The problem is she is tiny as are her hands so so can't change gear or use the hood brakes. I'm not worried about the brakes as she has the extra set on the top bar but I need to get her using the gears. Does anyone no which trigger shifters might be compatible? Gripshift isn't an option.

    Not sure what the best option would be for drops, I assume you aren't converting it to flat bars? If that's your intention I went the opposite way with a Moda Chord some years ago which came with flat bars, avid shifters, SRAM Apex groupset and single digit brakes. I did a drop bar conversion to great effect. If you want to go that way let me know, I think I still have most of the bits knocking around somewhere.
