New seat post needed

Hello,
I need a new seat post, after I had a breakage in Mallorca (potentially over tightened clamp). I can get a replacement S13 from Canyon for £80 +postage.

Does anybody have any other recommendations, I'm around 79kg, it's a 27.2mm diameter and don't really want to spend more than what I can get the Canyon one for? Not sure how much difference different seat posts offer for comfort etc.?

A 27.2mm seatpost might be one of the replacement bike parts for which you have the most possible options in choosing a replacement.

Personally I'm perfectly happy on alloy seatposts, and these confer less risk of breaking if overtightened, while weighing only slightly more (and usually less, pound for pound...) Good alloy posts are considerably lighter than bad carbon ones.

I tend to buy seatposts based on the type of clamp. I quite like the ones with a bolt in front and one behind so you can fine tune saddle angle by loosening one and tightening the other. The Thompson Elite being a fine example

I hate the ones with a single bolt, or two side by side, which have the saddle moving in all directions when you loosen them to adjust angle or fore / aft.
