Komoot query

I have started using Komoot because it plays nicely with my Wahoo and I also like some of the mapping features and road surface info. However there is one main problem I have with it, whenever I open the planner it centres on Milton Keynes and not the spot that almost all of my rides begin (in South Yorkshire). I notice also that all the Komoot newsletter suggestions I get are many miles from where I live.
My question is, does anyone know how to make Komoot more local?
