Hi,

I'm looking for a fast light ish (28lbs?) FS trail bike for around £2K. A few years ago this seems to have been possible but bikes seem to be getting heavier and more expensive every year.

Want something that's fast and pedals well but can also descend well. I suppose I'm looking more at the XC end of "trail", 120-130mm travel.

Would consider 29 or 27.5. But want a 10-50T cassette so would have to be GX drivetrain I believe?

Is the above possible?

I've been looking but all the options I've found are more like 3K (2019 Intense Primer, 2019 Giant Trance 29 Advanced 1).

Thanks.

For XC I'd suggest the Anthem and not the Trance. Spotted this one that may tick most of your boxes.

Thanks for the quick reply and suggestion but I really don't want to budge on the 10x50 cassette. So I think it needs to have either the newer Shimano drivetrains (which are way over budget) or Sram GX or above. Also, I'm thinking fast trail bike (120mm travel +) rather than fast XC bike.

This would have been perfect (if it was a bit cheaper and available in a large :( )....

I'm thinking that what I'm looking for may not exist at that price but considering the time of year, thought someone might have spotted a bargain somewhere they might hopefully like to share.
