Has anyone else had problems with blocked IP addresses?

I'm not even trying to sell any passports, well not on here anyway!

Yeah happened to me a few months ago then again last week. Went away on it's own but in the mean time using a VPN seems to avoid it.

Had this ages ago, and lasted a while. Explanation from BR at the time was they were just blocking a range of IP addresses as the simplest way of stopping the spam temporarily till they could be more specific.

IIRC ther are various options available to mods for blocking IP address, one is to wildcard block IP addresses. They could block 87.55.xxx.xx rather than 87.55.123.45 if the spam was found to be coming from one particular country but there is always the risk of blocking genuine members IP addresses but that detail is able to seen by a mod.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

CB sod all sadly as i was stuck at work.

I'm less willing to try this approach - i'll hope all is resolved soon enough!

Work IP is not blocked so i guess killing time there is still doable and let's be honest, that's the main/only reason most of us post here, right!?

IT always seems to be my work IP that gets blocked every couple of weeks.

you have to complete a form with the IP address and IP host name asking for it to be removed.

I guess so - I do block sc/pam IPs from browsing our company website - but they're mostly russian ... I wouldn't generally be blocking EE's ones as I know they're not static ...

It happened once. I just ignored it and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
    It went away.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

It’s happened twice to me both times I was staying in a hotel , different hotels , both times it was fine for 10 to 12 days then out of the blue ip address blocked, on the next day everything was fine, very odd to say the least
