Reverb Issues........Again!

Hi,

Not sure if any of you have had a similar problem but my reverb is neither staying locked in the up or down positions!

A week ago I noticed it was stuck in the down position and would not budge. Tried rebleed but as expected it still didn't budge. I then released the air pressure in it so I could pull it up manually and then done a full re bleed again, topping the air pressure back up to 250psi afterwards....now though when I sit on it in the up position it goes down and when i lower it doesn't stay down it goes up on it own without me touching the lever.

The reverb is stealth model 2015. Was serviced by TF Tuned 6 months ago and like I said the air pressure is correct and I have bled the system.

Is it knackered or is there a simple fix?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Rich

It will be serviceable but including postage, it may cost nearly as much as a new one that comes with a two year warranty. I can almost hear your cries of outrage, but I believe that you have done well to have a Reverb last from 2015. I thought myself lucky when one failed before two years because at least I got a new one under warranty! Mostly the ###**@ things failed just outside the warranty period!

    You have several options:
Get a quote for fixing (may cost you some money just to get that!)
    Buy a new Reverb.
Buy a new dropper that isn't a Reverb. (Brand-X do some terrific droppers for less than half the cost of a Reverb. Check the reviews!)

PS: I know it says 250psi on the bottom, but I put in only enough for it to work smoothly with my riding weight (14.5 stone / 92kg / 203lbs). My logic is that 250psi puts more strain on the seals than the 150psi that I use.

I didn't realise that reverb dropper posts had a rubbish lifespan.....I forked out for the service 6months ago thinking I would get a post with pretty much brand new internals. Thanks "steve_sordy" and "david7m"

Great when they work. Mine is broken again, but haven't used the bike for months and I've just left it as I can't face the stress of it :D

I've used these guys to service a Reverb I thought was knackered. Turned it round same day. Really good for the money.
