  • NB Super Record UT cups only fit SR cranks - I may have some of the “normal” (Record, Chorus, Athena UT) ones if you need them.
  • Yes I have some new Record/Chorus/Athena Ultra Torque cups with Italian thread - if you need them please PM. They're 'new other'.

Super record (black) cups don’t come with seals so are only recommended to be used with super record cranks that have CULT ceramic bearings. If using other campag cranks, you need cups that have seals fitted.

There is no issue with fit “fit”. You can use super record cups if you swap a set of seals in.
  • Hi Markyone,

No the SR cranks have ceramic bearings that use a different cup.

    From the technical manual..

    Super Record:
"requires Super Record ULTRA-TORQUE TM BB cups"
    Part number OC12-SRI (Italian)

    Record:
    "requires ULTRA-TORQUE TM BB cups"
    Part number OC12-REI (Italian)

    Chorus:
    "irequires ULTRA-TORQUE TM BB cup"

I've actually got one of each in Italian thread, but make sure which one you need.

    Cheers,
    Matthew.
  • The seals are fitted to the bearings (or not in the case of SR ceramic bearings), not the cups.

Yes there are seals on the bearings.... but there are seals on the inside of the non super record cups too.

It is the only difference with the cups, other than the nicer black colour. The seals pop out and can be fitted to the super record cups too. It’s a 5 second job. I have done this before because I preferred the black cups on a black frame.
  • Well this is interesting, I've just checked the Record and Super Record cups with the calipers, and the ID is identical at 37.0mm. Even though they have a different part number, you can safely interchange them. Apologies to all!
