I have a Ribble Granfondo which I have looked after well for the five years since I bought it. I have managed to get a few black oil stains on the white parts of the frame which probably got transfered from a cleaning cloth which must have rubbed uo against the chain. Anyone got any ideas on how best to remove them. They seem to be ingrained in to the frame.

  • Jizer then wash with car shampoo and polish.

  • Very gentle polish, not wax as you need something mildly abrasive. Without going too expensive you could try T-cut or even some pink Windolene. Failing that a trip to Halfords or your local car supplies. Had the same issue on OH's Ribble Bianco.
Once polished off then use a wax to protect.

If it's not ingrained then GT85 lifts it off easily enough. If it is scratched and ingrained then T-cut or similar cutting compound polish works well.

Baby wipes work. Polish. Anything. I've two White bikes and this isn't an issue for me.
