Hello

I have a SRAM 11 speed road cassette and I want to switch to a 12 speed SRAM XG 1290 road cassette. I know it will require a XDR driver for the 12 speed and of course new chain, shifter, etc. My question is will the 12 speed fit in the frame? I don't want a new wheel.

Thanks.

Yes, if you can get an XD body for the wheel. The width is the same.

As above you'll need a XDR freehub, what wheels do you have? Some are readily available but I had trouble a couple months ago sourcing for DT Swiss; had to order from Germany in the end. Should be getting easier by now I guess.

Oh, and I take it you are switching to full SRAM 12 speed road? Switching only the cassette isn't much use otherwise!

Think he said that in original post.
