I love the idea of the retro look and tortiose shell frames, bur wondered if anyone knew how they performed.

Id mail them, they are pretty good at replying usually, not sure if they are at the Cycleshow this weekend, im still debating going myself0 -
Bought a pair in Tortoiseshell/gold to replace some Scott glasses that my kids decided would be best placed under the wheel of my car without telling me.
They're quite good indeed. I usually prefer frameless glasses, or at least one without any frame along the bottom of the lens, but I've found no issue with the frame interfering with my vision. Optics on a par with anything I've tried (including Oakley, Zero RH), they don't fog up, sit nicely with a variety of helmets and you can wear them off the bike without looking a bit try-hard. All in all, couldn't ask for more.
I've always found Galibier gear isn't merely good for the money, it's just good full stop. They are local to me, most clubs round here seem to have Galibier as a semi-official "away kit". Their leather mitts are crackers, too.0 -
Mine are finally on order...
Will review once I get the delivery.0 -
First ride in them over the weekend.
(on the day it didn't hose it down)
I was really impressed. I wouldn't neccessarily agree that your first impression is that they are Oakley quality (something a number of reviews have stated), but when you consider there are a third of the price, they are something special.
I also got a free buff!!!0 -
