Broken spokes
Can anyone recommend a decent place in the Southampton area to get two wheels repaired? Some how in a house move my tourer has ended up with multiple broken spokes in both wheels. They are a pair of really nice handbuilt wheels from Spa cycles and I really don’t want to have to post them back up to Harrogate.
Thanks

Why not try and DIY first, really not hard and if it doesn't work out then just get them trued.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Unless OP is mechanically minded he's better getting them properly sorted if multiple spokes gone in both......FFS! Harden up and grow a pair0 -
Replacing several spokes is more tricky than one. More truing is required. More stressing. It certainly doable for a home mechanic but it does require more skill.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Id say if your interested have a go, it looks incredibly confusing but once the fog has cleared youll wonder what the fuss is about.
On the other hand most independant bike shops “should” be able to do it. Wander in and get a feel for the place.0 -
Couple of suggestions from Singletrack forum
Rock'N'Road in Yeovil
https://rockandroaduk.com/
not immediately local but closer than Harrogate
Perfect Balance in Totton - much closer to home. No direct website but here is a link to their Facebook page

Are you certain the bike itself hasn't sustained any damage? Do you know what happened during the move? Multiple spoke breakages in both wheels suggests something quite traumatic :shock:0
