Hi I have a Trek 6500 hard tail with disc brakes

Looking to upgrade as quite old now I’m looking at building one complete
have found a Trek remedy 9.9 frame on eBay but don’t know if it’s worth it for its age

Or should I just be looking at all aluminium frame (younger and cheaper)

Will be used for riding a few trails not challenging and farm trails

You don't seem to need a full susser for what you're riding, if fact I ride a gravel bike on what you ride, so another hardtail would be more in keeping and cheaper to build.
Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"

Can you post a link to the frame so we can see it?

This one at a guess (only one on ebay).

As above, I think a short travel 29er HT would be a better option.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

It might be a bargain, but it is not a good choice for your declared places to ride.

    For 26" wheels
Nothing wrong with 26 inch wheels but there's a lot less choice these days in both wheels and forks.

That listing has now been ended early.

I tend to agree that a HT will be fine for what you want to do. Do you want to build one up or happy to buy a complete bike?
