My brother in law is setting up his turbo trainer after a long lay off as he's got some health issues and needs to get some fitness back. His bike has been used by someone else and has been returned to him with SPD SL pedals so he's looking for some cheap shoes to use on it.
He has very wide feet, has anyone any recommendations of cheap wide compatible shoes?
Thanks in advance.

Bonts have a good reputation for wide feet although I'm not sure I'd call them cheap.0

I have wide feet and my Northwave have never given me a problem. Would always recommend (not trying to teach to suck eggs) to buy at least one size bigger than your normal shoe size.0

DHB 1.0 have done me for years now, cheap, comfortable and I have very wide feet... but I'm not sure they still do them these days0

Northwave usually come up quite wide, I had no problem with mine.0

Thanks chaps, I'll pass these one. I've also suggested some cheapo MTB shoes and I'll lend him a spare set of pedals, they seem to come in cheaper than road shoes.Advocate of disc brakes.0

100% this as when I had Northwave shoes I found them way too narrow even though I sized up.0
