SRAM ETAP AXS - Anyone using it?

Hi all
I'm building up an SWorks Tarmac and am considering the SRAM ETAP AXS Groupset. Obviously I have read the reviews but wondered if anyone on here had been using it in anger and what you thought?
I'm not concerned about the Wireless shifting etc, I'm purely interested in the ratios and how you may have found it in real life scenarios.
Anyone raced on it?
Anyone found that whilst a 10 tooth cassette gives a bigger gear, the fact that the 11, 12 and 13 tooth cogs combined with a 48 up front just doesnt compare to the traditional 53 chainring and 11,12 and 13.
I've not had time to do the old sheldon brown gear inch calc yet, I'm more interested in real world experiences..

How often are you on the high gears tho? I found that I v.rarely used 50x13 and v.rarely use 48x12 even going downhill but that is my ability/preference. My objection to the AXS system is the one-piece chainset so obviously to change the rings you swap out the chainset and you need the special hub so another wheel.
As an aside can you use a 12 speed Campag hub? It's the same spacing.0 -
Had SRAM Force AXS on my bike for a few months, 3T Strada Due, done about 1500km, general/sportive riding. So far very good experience... no issues. I have recently changed from the huge 10-33 to a 10-28 cassette as I was really never using the large cogs on the cassette... (apart from the odd Welsh hill)....
I haven’t raced on it... so can’t comment on that...0 -
Some information online suggests that the Force AXS groupset is a fair bit heavier than Ultegra DI2, I've seen a 400g difference quoted for the hydro disc groupset.
Does anyone know if that is correct? Would be a bit disappointing if true as in previous generations the SRAM groupsets have been pretty competitive in terms of weight as far as I'm aware.0 -
i've got etap 11s, not planning on axs at the moment
a 1x build is the way to save weight, but until there's reliable data published to prove otherwise i'd assume efficiency will be poorer vs. a 2x/traditional road build
the data in this article are not for axs components, but are in line with the general principle that small cogs and larger chain angles are less efficient...
