Custom cycling shoes

I’ve changed quite a few shoes over the past 2-3 years as they started to hurt after some time. I still haven’t found the right pair, so I’m thinking of getting some custom ones like Adam Hansen’s pair. Therefore my questions are if it’s worth it, and how much are you willing to pay for a fully custom pair (to see if I’m not undervaluing them and out of curiosity)?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I haven’t a clue to your question but if you’ve got a Specialized concept store near you I would pop in and try some different shoes, they’ll ensure the fit and beds are appropriate
I bought a pair of S works in 2014 and they’ll just about see the summer out, partly due to the lifetime BOA guarantee for the shoe closing mechanism
I’ll wait until winter when prices are soft and get another pair without question. Always comfortable, stiff and very well made.“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

^^^ this
if the shoes fit, i.e. no tight spots or incompatible shape, then it's more likely to be the footbeds you need looking at
footbeds can make a massive differencemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
I'd expect to pay north of £300 I suppose...which is probably why I haven't done it yet.0

Not sure if it's still the case, but there used to be a rule that any equipment used in pro cycling had to be commercially available. To comply with this, he made a few extra pairs and sold them off on his website. I would be surprised if he is making custom shoes for anyone but himself.0 -
So custom as in already made and a certain size. So a bit like those made to measure Assos shorts I bought in a medium size.0

I have custom insoles which have been amazing, £100 from Cyclefit about 4-5 years ago. One of the best cycling purchases I've made.0
