]Hi all.
Thinking about buying a second hand runner. During search came across nice BMC but very uncomfortable with the some scuffs on it.

Pics are https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/648258705667755/?ref=messenger_banner . What do you think , worth buying and scuffs are superficial or do not touch?
Thanks

As far as the scuffs / chips go they are to be expected on any bike regardless of frame material of this age. What i would be checking for on any bike i purchased 2nd hand would be drivetrain condition, bearings etc and also cracks in high stress areas of the frame. Is it worth the money i'm afraid i cant answer that one. Try comparing against completed listings on ebay for a comparison.
    thanks

if you're uncomfortable about it don't buy it as you'll do is worry about it.

its only a scratched BMC, billions of things out there.

iknow. But I like the bike and it's a good price hence soon keen. From other side I can order new bmc slr2 with 105 and have no worries at all. For 1800gbp from lbs collection. I prefer that second hand bike though. If only to know for sure that the frame is fine..... Damn

I bought a 2017 Colnago V1-R frameset a few months ago, came with correct Colnago forks, seatpost and brakes for £250 as it had a cracked seat stay. The rest of the frame was in very good condition. Spent another £250 having it repaired and now like new. The original list price would have been over £3300. Rides like a dream.

Buy this bike have it cosmetically repaired if you wish and enjoy.

    I would go for it.

Worse case scenario you have an ultegra gruppo and nice wheels to put on new bike.

Or you could spend a a couple of hundred get those dinks patched up.

Edit - just seen its sold ! Im guessing it wasn't you !
