Morning
Bit soggy here too but hopefully it's gong to dry up.
MTB race later this morning, plan was to go and laze around on the beach afterwards but summer seems to have been cancelled.0 -
We're de camping*.
*Goodbye darlings
>see you ?
It's raining. Which is good 'cos that means we won't cook on the way and it's easier to leave this neck of the woods behind. Forecast is sunny where we live. Seems good to me.

310 mile drive in a southerly direction, then 3 nights in the keys, 4 nights in Miami. Hopefully fewer thunderstorms.0

Afternoon. Worked last night(and will tonight), so late start today but just back from a very fun little surf in the sun. Swell has dropped right off from last few days but glorious sunshine made it worthwhile for an hour. Would so like to sit in garden now with several cold ones but that will have to wait until tomorrow.0

Afternoon Skivers,
Had a good and needed lie in, did a spot of hound walking, procured supplies and sent for a bit of a blast in The Panzer. Now resting and deciding what to have for dinner/what to sup from the fridge later. Decisions, decisions..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." So, I want some kind of flooring in the garage floor tile wise, the foam ones alright or should I spank out on some proper rubber things, the interlocking type.0

Evening folks,
Been stormy here this afternoon, more of the same forecast for tomorrow. Got conned into taking the females to some designer outlet place. Mrs now annoyed as I got a pair of shoes, a shirt and some new strides, daughter got a couple of T-shirts and we bought some jeans and a T-shirt for the lad. She didn’t find anything she liked other than an ice cream, so we all had one. Chilling tomorrow, out for lunch I suspect. Might go to Siena.0 -

Looks like who ever laid it used the world's smallest float so it's pretty lumpy. Plus I spend a fair amount of time out there stood up so idea was something a little more kind on the old feet.
Reminds me as well need to drill holes for the little vice I've got too.0 -

Comfy shoes?
That reminds me; I put my 19mm deep socket on the torque wrench and tightened the wheel nuts to 130nm on the old Porker (as prescribed) but one nut was a little worse for wear. I can only presume many years of being hammered by an impact driver. ...and it stuck in my lovely Blue Point deep socket. ...and I bashed it. Oh hell did I bash it. In fact there was a little ridge of wheel nut protruding outside of the socket diameter and I reckoned that if I put it in the vice to the width of the socket and no more, it would pop out.
So I gave it a decent clout and I broke the vice
16 new wheel nuts (locking one's were fine) later @ £56 the set* and a new socket...
Still haven't replaced the vice.

Also doing some shed updates here. One corner is all the garden stuff, and is a right mess, so new shelving, some hooks and racking for tools etc required.
Will be a big pile of stuff to the tip too with any luck.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0
