I'm thinking of getting a new frameset to replace my 2012 Scott CR1 Pro. Any thoughts on, or experience with, the Dolan Rebus, which is on sale @ £899?

Seems a bit heavy at 1200 g compared to the sub 1 kg CR1, but it's aero innit?

Looks very nice - Dolan also do a very nice dr1 frameset.
I suppose the weight issue could be negated by the rest of your build - budget permitting !

The Scott is 7 kg with eTap, 50 mm carbon wheels, Zipp carbon bars, Vector pedals, Garmin mount and carbon bottle cages so I'd imagine this would be around 7.3 kg if I transferred everything over. I've only seen one review of this bike, which was less than glowing, so I'm not convinced it will be any improvement on the Scott!

Well, did you get the Rebus? I’m interested to know as like you,I’m thinking of getting one and have only seen one review that wasn’t brilliant.
    Cheers

No, I ended up buying a De Rosa SK Pininfarina frameset from Merlin.
  • Still not sure I get the relaxed geo frame on an aero bike
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
