Cannondale 12mm thru axle

Before I ham-fistedly try something I'll regret, I thought it might be wise to ask if someone has any experience of altering the lever position on the Cannondale 12mm the axles?

I'm not too bothered about being aero, I'd just like them to be in a neat position.

    That looks similar to a DT Swiss one. On those, if you pull the lever outwards while the axle is tightened, it allows you to rotate the lever independently of the axle. Does that work with this one?
