To respray or not to respray, that is the question....

opinions please. old trek madone in that blue/black scheme - discovery minus disco decals, you know the one. bit scratched. not really ironic/iconic as its not a disco.

polish up and leave or get resprayed a celeste-ish with black treks, black deep rims, tan walls. plan is to make a sub 8kg holiday home bike from bits in the garage.

'tis a bit tatty but who knows what a good polish would do. it is a bit dated and fussy though.

waddya say?

If it's for holiday use I'd respray it something cheerful like dayglo orange or zesty lime green.

If it gets a nice respray it will be as good as new. It gives a bike a whole new lease of life. Go for it.

    and so on.

Trek's are for accountants and lawyers.
    They're cheap on ebay.
    Don't bother.

Sell it, buy a Tarmac S Works in black, tan tyres and 40mm rims.

You deserve it, it’s your holiday ride, therefor has to be special.

Tell your mrs it’s your old bike with a respray.

Sell it while the tdf is on the telly, best time of year to get a good price on ebay.

    This is true.

Personally, I would smash it to bits, set alight to it and chuck it in the next door neighbours garden.

was thinking of filling it with lead and using as trebuchet to fling it at passing clubbies then smashing their bikes etc etc.
