Kask helmet chin strap

Has anyone tried cutting the excess ‘eco leather’ chin strap on a Kask helmet? There’s way too much ... looks like it’s designed for folk with faces as long as Djokovitch. Not sure how I’d seal the cut, or if I’d need to.
Cheers,

Easy, a cigarette lighter if it is nylon or Gorilla tape (strong duct tape) but I would cut nothing unless really needed to0 -
i simply adjusted the sliding bit to retain the end, no need to cut itmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0

I know plenty of kask helmet wearers. Nobody's needed to cut the eco leather bit.0

Sharp knife, piece of pi550

My Protone had a little plastic stop/cap thing fixed to the end of the eco leather strap. I removed this (might have needed to cut a stitch or something, can't remember), cut the strap to length with scissors and then superglued the end stop back on again. Looks as new except with shorter strap.0

I have the same issue with my new kask Valegro. About an inch and a half poking out beyond.
How did you go?0 -

Yes it is stupidly long especially for a small sized helmet

Just do this. I now have three Kasks and have done it on all of them.neeb said:My Protone had a little plastic stop/cap thing fixed to the end of the eco leather strap.
