    Cold start. Woken up by dog barking at stranger wandering about. Hmmm.

    Morning spent by the fire watching wind and rain out on the bay. Better this afternoon, did some turbo time in shed, and some exercise involving rubber bands and coordinated arm/leg waving.

    Tea and biccies now served.

    Morning, was up earlyish to pick eldest up from her DofE overnight walk. We're flying at 0600 tomorrow to Greece so today be quick pack, sort out house etc before going. Have a stern word with cats regarding their responsibilities and behaviour whilst we're gone etc.

    slight buzz from six shots of coffee

    roads are usually ok early, but there seems to be a convention of idiot drivers in town, pull out in front of me then go slow/clueless, repeat umpteen times

    perhaps do some prep for hols later

    Reasonable lie in had despite senior hound seeking peace from junior hound by jumping on the bed quite early on. Chilling at the cafe with coffee and bacon sarnie: will collect a few bits n pieces from town once I'm done here then start filling in lots of forms that the conveyancing solicitor sent me.

    May also need to act as referee between squabbling hounds.
