Dedicated Bike for Turbo

Looking for the cheapest way to do this.
I have a frame and handlebars that is pretty much it.
It has a threaded BB.
I'm even contemplating if i need to change gears as I mainly use ERG(Tacx Flux).
My alternative option would be to get a thru axle adaptor and an 11spd cassette to use with my bike(£80ish). I'd rather not do this though.

Well you'll need to add a drivetrain and saddle to that frameset at a minimum.
Complete Tiagra 10-speed groupset, cheap as chips! You don't need brakes, but it's probably easier to buy the whole set rather than individual bits and pieces.

Then an old front wheel, maybe something stuffed for free/cheap from your local bike shop or eBay.
Or you could scour your local second hand and pawn shops to see if there's a cheap complete bike going.0 -
Try the local recycling. You can pretty much guarantee that someone will have dumped something with useable parts if you are not fussy about quality. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
My dedicated turbo bint looks like it was dragged out of a skip...0

turbo bike from recyclables at the dump.
it doesn't matter a jot what it is so long as its clean, the gears move, the cranks turn and the back wheel rolls - in fact if ypu spend over £30 on a turbo bike its a tad silly

tiagra is too good for a turbo bike. you don't need it. especially new. why would you buy new?

depends on the reason for not wanting the thru axle option but that'll definitely be the cheapest.
stick your current cassette on the turbo and upgrade the one on your wheel.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -

Because i'm lazy.
Sorted it now. £100 all in although £60 was for saddle.
No gears but i'm not all that fussed as I mainly use ERG.0 -

cool. you won't have far to walk when it stops working for no discernable reason.
